These centers emerge through the initiative of the communities themselves. Their mission is to promote activities that encourage the holistic development of their people.
Community centers are meeting places where workshops, training courses and wholesome games and enter- tainment are offered. Community volunteers, who possess a great calling and leadership ability, coordinate all the educational programs that are carried out.
These centers include the following facilities: multipurpose room, kitchen, cafeteria, game courts and bleachers. One of these centers, the Centro Juncalito, located in the township of Jánico, Santiago province, has a furniture-making shop, blacksmithing shop, bakery and 15 rooms.
