ILAC Mission has agreements to bring teams of specialists, interested in global health initiatives, to collaborate with the ILAC Mission in the education of the ‘Cooperadores’, the rotation of their interns through our hospitals and to perform surgeries on unprivileged patients at the center in Licey.
In this way, Doctor Taraneh Sherizian and a team of gyno-obstetricians from Mount Sinaí Hospital, initiated a surgical program to perform trans-vaginal gynecological surgeries. Dealing with urinary incontinence and even some historonomies, that can be performed through this program, reducing hospitalization to only one day. Currently the program is active twice a year.
